Coaches

Club members may choose to take private lessons with a coach. All arrangements for fees and schedules are negotiated privately with the individual coaches. The Club has prepared a resource page called "Questions to Ask When Choosing a Coach", to help start the dialogue between a coach and skater/parents.

The Skating Director for the Apex Center, Dia T. McGaughey, manages the staff members for all of the Learn-to-skate lessons, develops contracts for Apex ice time, and gives private lessons as a skating coach. She also monitors Freestyle, Moves, and Dance sessions.

There are numerous coaches giving lessons at the Apex Center. A list with names and contact information may be available from Dia McGaughey. Club members are free to take lessons from any professional.
