Membership Year
Columbine Figure Skating Club membership runs from 7/1 through 6/30
of the following year. This corresponds with US Figure Skating's membership
year. Although membership forms and payment will be accepted throughout
the year, a majority is due to US Figure Skating by June 30. To
meet this deadline we are requesting forms and payment be returned to
the membership chairperson by May 31. Our membership drive starts
in mid-April.
If you should move during the year, please contact the membership chairperson
and the information will be forwarded on to US Figure Skating for their
records and the mailing address for the Skating magazine.
Guidelines
- There are six types of membership in the Columbine FSC:
- Skating Members
- Introductory Members (Basic Skills) or Additional Skating Members
- Parent or Guardian (required if skating member is under 18)
- Additional Nonskating Family Member(s)
- Associate Members (skating and nonskating). Associate members must belong
to another club as their home club.
- Honorary Members (coach/judge/honorary)
- Any membership for a skating member under the age of 18 (home club
or associate), must be accompanied by a parent or guardian member.
- The club will accept membership applications throughout the membership
year.
- Columbine FSC home club members will have priority to skate in club-sponsored exhibitions, clinics, test sessions, and the ice show. Priority
will then go to associate members and then nonclub members.
- The Columbine FSC supports the Figure Skating Policies and Procedures
of the North Jeffco Park and Recreation District.
- US Figure Skating requires coaches participating in US Figure
Skating Qualifying Competitions and other US Figure Skating activities
to be members of US Figure Skating, either through a member club
or as an individual member.
Forms
A Columbine Figure Skating Club form (pdf) must
be completed and signed for each family joining the club.
Each family's membership with US Figure Skating will include one
